Labs Supports $9,000 Food Recovery Grant for Rolling Harvest Food Rescue

March 3, 2026

HARRISBURG, PA — Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) announced Rolling Harvest Food Rescue has been awarded just over $9,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Food Recovery Infrastructure Program to support food access efforts in Bucks County.

The funding will allow Rolling Harvest Food Rescue to purchase a new CoolBot cold storage unit for its “Grow to Give” farm locations in Pipersville. The additional cold storage capacity will help the organization preserve fresh produce and expand its ability to serve neighbors facing food insecurity.

“Rolling Harvest Food Rescue plays an important role in connecting fresh, locally grown food with families who need it,” said Labs. “Expanding cold storage capacity will help reduce food waste and increase access to healthy produce for residents across Bucks County.”

Rolling Harvest Food Rescue provides fresh donated produce to hunger relief sites throughout the county and serves individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The Food Recovery Infrastructure Program supports projects that improve food recovery systems and reduce waste while increasing access to nutritious food for communities in need.
