Labs Announces Grants for Area Fire, EMS Companies

HARRISBURG – Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) today announced the following fire and EMS companies that serve the 143rd District received grants from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC).

“This funding from OSFC will help our first responders upgrade equipment, renovate their facilities and improve their trainings,” said Labs. “Our first responders selflessly serve our community, and this funding will assist them as they continue to provide critical services.”

All companies that apply and meet requirements outlined by OSFC receive funding. Companies must file a grant agreement with OFSC to receive their grants. The organizations that received grants are:

  • Central Bucks Ambulance and Rescue Unit – $15,000.
  • Chalfont EMS – $15,000.
  • Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine Co. No. 1 – $16,322.
  • Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Co. – $14,385.
  • Doylestown Fire Co. No. 1 – $16,106.
  • Dublin Volunteer Fire Co. – $14,170.
  • Grand View Hospital EMS – $10,000.
  • Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Co. – $16,322.
  • Perkasie Fire Co. No. 1 – $15,891.
  • Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Co. – $15,000.
  • Point Pleasant Fire Co. No. 1 – $13,309.
  • Point Pleasant-Plumsteadville EMS – $15,000.
  • Sellersville Fire Department – $15,000.
  • Silverdale Volunteer Fire Co. – $15,891.
  • Upper Bucks Regional EMS - $13,403.

Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.
