February 3, 2025

HARRISBURG – Rep. Shelby Labs (R-Bucks) and Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-Lehigh/Bucks) today announced that the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company (SVFC) has received a $50,000 grant for renovations to their firehouse.

This renovation will allow SVFC to update their infrastructure and provide the best possible housing for their first responders.

“I was proud to secure this funding in partnership with Sen. Coleman to help facilitate these renovations,” said Labs. “These improvements will aid our first responders as they continue to serve and provide safety to our community.”

“Helping the Silverdale Fire Department cover the cost of these renovations will bring essential services closer to the community. Cutting down on response time can make all the difference in emergencies and this is a great opportunity to help our constituents when they need it most,” said Coleman

Silverdale Fire Company had the following statement on this funding: “The men and women of the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rep. Labs, Sen. Coleman, and their teams. Recently, with tremendous help and effort from Rep. Labs and Sen. Coleman, the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company was able to secure a significant state grant that will afford us the opportunity to make vital physical improvements to our building. These improvements will help improve our company’s ability to serve the community as well as enhance community safety.
